What is the Music Mindstyle Training Program?

The Music Mindstyle Training Program is an 8-week holistic digital training program with workshops, online trainings, guest lectures and a mentoring scheme that helps you reshape the future of the music industry as a purpose-driven for-profit industry centered around artist well-being.

Why I created the Music Mindstyle Training

This is me at 25. I was going through a major crisis - an existential crisis. I wanted to pursue a career in the music industry but there wasn’t a predeterminded path for what I wanted to do. I had overcome a shitload of mental health struggles with little to no support. I was lacking in financial stability, confidence or support.

I had come to know the music industry as an environment that lacks equal opportunity, that systematically takes the value of creative assets from artists and celebrates a lifestyle that causes mental health struggles.
At the same time, I had also witnessed and discovered an enormous amount of inspiration, creativity and possibility.

Yet, the music industry monopoly continues to systematically oppress and exploit artists and it’s time for the next generation of music industry professionals to be given the cance to imagine or reimagine the music industry as a force for good, so that it becomes about more than just money and use it as a vehicle to create change for everyone involved.


Why include a mentoring scheme?

I didn’t want to just provide workshops in the hopes that the participants will continue at their own pace. It’s about more than becoming more independent, resilient and in control of your own mindstyle.
I want to provide a one-for-one model - for every artist manager who’s learning, there’s an artist in need that will reap the benefits of what the artist manager implements. And by having a mentee in this program, an artist manager is urged to take immediate action. It’s about adopting an attitude for continuous learning and self-development.

Who is it for?

Unrepresented and undiscovered artists with little to no access to mental health and career support and
artist managers who want to create a better, more positive work environment centered around artist well-being, that values diversity, equality and inclusion.

As a holistic coach, I help artists create a healthy mindstyle in music so that they can consciously put their well-being first and erase the negative effects of a high-pressured environment on their mental health. I focus a lot of my work on accountability and changing your perspective.

The Music Mindstyle Training Program at a glance

An 8-week digital program including immersive workshops and trainings dropped in your inbox bi-weekly, including lectures from guest contributors and usefull resources and fun sheets to prompt immediate action, plus, a mentoring scheme linking artist managers and artists in order to create instant change.

Timing

This 8-week course offers a mixture of training weeks and implementation weeks so that you can digest the material in smaller chunks. Need some extra time for a recap? No problem!

 

Mentoring Scheme

The selection of the mentoring pairs will be done in collaboration with industry experts and partners and based on various criteria like professional compatibility, personal motivation, self-development goals and more.

Kick-off: Workshop
Teaching tools to cope with anxiety.

Week 1: Pre-training: What’s your purpose?
Learn how to create a holistic vision of the industry.

- online class dropped in your inbox (either video or audio): introduction to the program, my holistic coaching methods and my business, a few tips and resources to help you find your why + practical ways to get started with the mentoring scheme and fun sheet to help you take immediate action.
- individual meetup (in person or through a video call) between mentor and mentee.

Week 2: Implementation week
This is the time to process what you learned in the previous week + a 30-minute check-in call with me.

Week 3: Being a musician
- online lecture dropped in inbox (either video or audio) on the topic of how to be a musician, not how to make music (by a guest contributor which will be a well-established artist or music industry professional).
- individual meetup between mentor and mentee.

Week 4: Implementation week
This is the time to process what you learned in the previous week + a 30-minute check-in call with me.

Week 5: Body awareness: energy and nutrition
- online class dropped in inbox (either video or audio) on the topic of body awareness through ayurveda and learning the basics of what to eat according to your body type (by a guest contributor who specialises in ayurveda consults).
- individual meetup between mentor and mentee.

Week 6: Implementation week
This is the time to process what you learned in the previous week + a 30-minute check-in call with me.

Week 7: The power of (online) communities: intersectionality
- online lecture dropped in inbox (either video or audio) by a guest contributor who’s an expert in building communities that value diversity, equality and inclusion
- individual meetup between mentor and mentee

Week 8: Graduation week
Evaluation of the mentoring couples during graduation week, what they’ve achieved, what they plan for the future etc. This will happen during a call with mentoring pairs + will discuss possible next steps.

BONUSES
After graduation
- participants receive an invitation to plan a check-in call to take place 1 month after graduation.
- participants receive an invitation to join The Peacock Muster, my coaching community, where they can continue to connect with each other and others, for community support and get access to more free resources and a first-hand pick at promotions I offer throughout the year.

1 month after graduation
- Checkin call with the mentoring couples to see how it’s going so far.
- All participants will be sent an email with a short survey to evaluate the whole program.
